Scaling from 200 to 2,000 users with no dedicated marketing team. Needed full-funnel ad campaigns and a new dashboard.
The challenge
Managed Google + LinkedIn ads, rebuilt the onboarding dashboard, and implemented event tracking for every conversion point.
Our approach
Nova had a product people loved — but nobody knew about it. With no marketing team, they were relying on word-of-mouth. Growth was linear when it needed to be exponential. We stepped in as their outsourced growth team.
First, we rebuilt the onboarding dashboard. The old one had a 60% drop-off during setup. We redesigned the flow with progress indicators, contextual help tooltips, and a simplified 3-step activation process. Drop-off during setup fell to 22%.
On the ads side, we launched Google Search campaigns targeting high-intent keywords ('analytics tool for [industry]') and LinkedIn campaigns targeting decision-makers at companies matching Nova's ideal customer profile. Creative testing was aggressive: 15 ad variations per campaign, tested weekly.
The breakthrough was connecting ad spend to LTV, not just sign-ups. By tracking which ad campaigns produced users with the highest lifetime value, we reallocated budget to the channels that generated the most profitable customers — not just the most sign-ups.
